This is my latest thing to do, "Children Montages".  While the post production is a lot of work, the actual shoot is a lot of fun.  It's much easier to work with kids in this kind of photo environment.  It actually seems like the biggest problem is too many shots to choose from.  This particular image prints at 11 x 14.

Here's the Bistro 45 calendar photo for November 2009.  Not much special here (except that Danica looks nice), it was a basic studio shot with a stock background.  The shot was based on the label from Van Duzer wines (see below).  I did add in the falling leaves and added a bit more hair.  It was nice to have a simple shot for this month.

The Star-News sent me out Halloween night to catch some of the festivities going on around town.  I shot kids trick-or-treating, and adults at costume parties.

Halloween is great, as you can use some harsh lighting, and have deep shadows.  The above shot is a good example of that technique, with a remotely triggered flash held to my left at arms length, and somewhat below the cameras level.  Simple enough.
