I came across this photo today.  It's a self portrait of me and my dog Nick, who is no longer with me.  It's a good memory shot, I sure miss him.  The two of us hiked into Cly Lakes for a few days in June of 2006.  In the background you can see the Twenty Mile drainage.  Duck Lake is shrouded in the morning fog just above my left shoulder.  The peak behind me doesn't have a name, I call it "Father's Day Peak" because my daughters and I (and Nick) hiked up to it one Father's Day.

This was a great trip with lots of memories.  We hiked around several really pretty pot lakes, spent some time at Lower Cly Lake and camped at Upper Cly Lake.  Being June, there was still a lot of snow in places.  We saw one other hiker who was out on a day hike, other than that, it was a few days alone in the wilderness.

More about Upper Cly Lake HERE.
