This is a little event that the Payette Lakes Ski Club puts on.  First they have a BBQ, then the Torchlight Parade, and then fireworks.  They use highway flares on bamboo, so as to keep the flare away from the skier, but I would still wear my oldest clothes to do this.  It looks like burned clothing in the making.

Anyway, the festivities where fun, and it was somewhat hard to find the correct camera settings.  I had lots of failed attempts, but this seemed to have worked out.  The skiers were traveling at a much slower rate than I anticipated, so a loooong exposure was needed to get the top to bottom look.
