There’s quite a gap between the last entry, July, and now.  That’s primarily because I built a new large 2-car garage on the end of the house, and converted the existing 1-car garage into a studio.  I’m pretty well settled in now, and maybe I can start posting a bit more frequently. The studio is going to work out well.  The room is 14’ wide and 28’ deep with a 9’ ceiling, which gives ample room for lights and other props.  There’s new carpet with padding, fresh drywall, computer work station and a backdrop system that’s very flexible and can be left up.  The entry door comes straight off the driveway, so clients aren’t coming to the house.  There’s even storage and somewhat of a changing area behind the backdrop.  It’s quick to do product photography and portraits.  Shoot, and then view on the computer. The construction sucked up a bunch of my time, plus I was still busy with journalism and commercial photography all summer, so I’m sure I can find a bit more to post right away.
