On a bike ride I notice some Fox Kits in a pile of stumps, limbs, lumber and dirt. From a short distance I counted 5 kits. As I slowly approached, they scrambled under the debris. After a moment two of them poked their heads up and stared at me. They seemed to get used to me, especially one of them. As I got within 15’ of them they settled down, with 1 staying a comfortable distance away, and the other seeming to be intrigued by me. I snapped several pictures, but this one makes me think of the evolution of the family dog. It’s like he’s laying there saying “See how cute I am! Take me home and feed me.”
